PRESS RELEASE of the XII INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL
International festival has more than 12 years of history behind it. Today it's not just a university event, but a big international holiday. We cooperate with student delegations from more than 20 countries, and all the festival events take place in close cooperation with consulates and international organizations that help creatively realize the project.
The festival's ideas are simple and understood by not only its participants, but most people on Earth. Ethnocultural conflicts and misunderstandings are being overcome through knowledge, understanding andinterpenetration of cultures. This tolerance does not boil down to sufferance, but expects respect for both another culture and your own. We try to raise interest in distinctive traditions of national cultures, allow the participants of the festival a great opportunity for exchanging experiences and create a friendly atmosphere and strengthen the ideas of inter-ethnic harmony.
The International Festival humanitarian in its ideas and gives the participants a chance to show off not just their talents, but also the culture of their homeland. That’s why in 2015 we expand the festival and hold it for 3 days. We want every foreign student to find something interesting in our festival and join the organizers of this enthralling event.
In November 2015, youth from all over the world will take part in the International festival – and we would be happy to see you there, too! We'll find everybody an event to enjoy.
Event program:
November 18th, first day: Festival opening. Galaconcert of the delegationsparticipating. Start time: 19:00. Event location: DM Record, Sadovaya str. 75.
November 19th Second day: Fair of the International Festival. Various workshops by the delegations, national cuisine tasting, folk games and internationalexhibition. Event location: Birjevaya str. 6. At 19:00 we will be showing the movie "Manderlay"( http://www.kinopoisk.ru/film/22597/) at SPbSU's Philological faculty, room 198.
November 20, Third day: Roundtable on the topic "Cultural Adaptation", SPbSU students exchange program presentation. Sharing experiences of trips abroad and living in Saint Petersburg.Rewardingofparticipants of the festival. Event location: The Twelve Colleges Building. Universitetskaya naberezhnaya 7, room 70. time: 16:00.
At the end of the third day we will make publications in the university magazine and website. It's a great chance to share your thoughts and experience and capture it on paper to make it available to an even larger audience.
For our foreign studentswe offer wide possibilities to represent your homeland in the Festival. Anyone who would like to participate should write in to the organizer.
