Noisy sex woman admits Asbo breach

Earthly reward for church vandals

Three teenagers who robbed and vandalised a church in the US state of Montana will get "love baskets" of electronic games by thecongregation.

The three youths broke into Missoula's South Hills Evangelical Church two weeks ago stealing money and smashing windows and computers, police said.

Police caught them still in the church and charged them with felony burglary.

Church pastor Jason Reimer said thecongregation wanted "to reach out and extendlove and mercy to them".

"A lot of us, whether we're churchgoers or not, have been in their shoes before and have made some bad choices," Mr Reimer said. "But Godforgives us."

Marijuana and pills

They are accused of breaking into the South Hills Evangelical Church (SHEC) just before midnight on 12 November and causing several thousand dollars worth of damage.

"They did smash some stuff, like computer monitors, windows, televisions and sprayed a fireextinguisher in the gym," Mr Reimer said.

Marijuana, a pipe and some pills were found on the teens, he said.

The following Sunday, the church's main pastor, John Erbele, used the incident in his sermon topreach about the Christian virtues of mercy andforgiveness.

Church members began to collect donations for "love baskets" to present to the youngoffenders.

"We've collected several hundred dollars' worth ofgift cards, Xboxes and controllers, a DVD, aVCR," said Mr Reimer.

If the boys escape a jail sentence, the church hopes the gifts will help keep them off the streets and out of trouble.

If the gadgets are not enough, the SHEC also offers a skateboard park, teen centre, weight room and an addiction recovery service.

"We want to help them get their lives straightened out," said Mr Reimer.

In addition, the church hosts a band, Goofyfooted, which features rock-androll-pastor Erbele on guitar.

Noisy sex woman admits Asbo breach

The couple's lovemaking was described as 'unnatural'

A woman who was given an anti-social behaviour orderbanning her from making loud noises during sex hasadmitted breaching theorder.

Caroline and Steve Cartwright's love-makingwas described as "murder" and "unnatural" at Newcastle Crown Court.

Neighbours, the local postman and a woman taking her child to school complained about thenoise. Cartwright, 48, from Washington on Wearside, pleaded guilty to three counts of breaching theAsbo.

She will be sentenced on 18 January.

At an earlier hearing, next door neighbour Rachel O'Connor told the court she was frequently late for work because she overslept having been awake most of the night because of thenoise.

In November, Cartwright appealed against a noiseabatement noticeimposed in 2007, as well as the subsequent Asbo, which banned the couple from "shouting, screaming or vocalisation at such a level as to be a statutorynuisance".

Her bid was rejected byRecorder Jeremy Freedman, who said: "It certainly was intrusive and constituted a statutorynuisance.

"It was clearly of a verydisturbing nature and it was also compounded by the duration - this was not aone-off, it went on for hours at a time.

"It is further compounded by the frequency of theepisode, virtually every night."

Sunderland City Council told the court they had recorded noise levels of up to 47 decibels using equipment installed at Cartwright's neighbour's house.

World Health Organisationguidelines state that 30 decibels is enough to cause sleep disturbance.
