Interview with customer of Gymaholic

Price

Taking into account average price of the fitness centers in Famagusta we must say that the prices in Gymaholic are reasonable. We will explain this below.

As we found out though for the current customers price of membership will stay the same for the newcomer’s it is increased. At the beginning of the opening the normal membership was 120TL per month. This membership includes using all of the equipment unlimited. Another membership provided a choice of different training classes such as: Spinning, TRX, Tabata and Pilates. The price of this membership was 140TL per month. But for the last two months they increased the prices for 40tl. It means that normal membership is 160tl and full membership is 180tl. The reason for this can be the fact that the number of members became very high and know that they have “stop list” with approximately 60 people which are waiting for free place.

Another reason is developing the services by adding new training classes: Zumba, kid fitness, Kangoo jumps and private sector. So the costs are also important part which affects the price because they need to hire new trainers, buy new equipment and expand the place in order to reduce “stop list”.

Gymaholic also provides discounts. The receptionist told us about a special offer which is valid until 16 of November. Any customer can pay 300tl and get a 4 month membership which means that price of each month is 75tl. If we will make some simple calculations, we will see that discount is approximately 40%.

 

Again, we should say that it doesn’t include additional training classes, however every customer can get a program with a list of exercises for every day according to what each customer would like to achieve and they feel free to ask for help any of trainers without extra payment.

Nazira: As a member of Gymaholic I was totally satisfied with a relation of price and service provided unlike other fitness centers. But I was upset that I couldn’t choose any of group classes because some of them were already full.

Safiya: I agree that the prices are affordable and reasonable.

Jona: Compare with other gyms I think that Gymaholic has an advantage of discounts.

People

When we came for the first time to Gymaholic at 10am it was very quiet and there were only 4 or 6 customers around the gym. Later, Mr Yiltan said that we should come after 6pm and we will see the difference of number of people. So, we came on the next day at 8 pm and it was very crowded because most of the classes starting after 5 pm so the gym was full of customers. We observed the atmosphere which was very cheerful and lively. All of the people were very active and looks happy. We also have seen that men and women were training together. For example, women were pumping up the muscles like men and men who were engaged in spinning which help to burn fat. This shows that all of them are well informed and feel free with each other. This kind of system creates a “fitness community” or we can say a family of customers.

To be detailed we can say that staff is very devoted to its work; they responsive to the customers because they are always asking them if they need any help, trying to motivate them or give a proper advice. We might say that they don’t even need to be highly motivated while performing their duties because it is obvious that they like to do what they are doing. That is why so many people would like to work with them as it was mentioned in the presentation.

Also, their physical attributes match their professional requirements. Especially we distinguished Mr Murat, who actually not the ordinary boss, which sitting in his office and doesn’t care about what is happening in his fitness center, conversely, he is the one who by his own example shows that there is no limit to the success and there is always something to strive.

 

 

This is the way he created the brand of Gymaholic. From our conversation he impressed us with his friendliness and positivity.

One of the important issues that can make some customer confused is language. Since most of the staff is local people they use Turkish language and just a few of them use English language during the classes. So this can be a barrier for international people. The leader of the team is happy to communicate with both Cypriot and international members using Turkish and English languages.

We couldn’t observe staff-boss and boss-staff manners, but we could check it on Facebook. The manners are very friendly between staff probably we can call them team of friends. Even Mr Murat treats them as friends, but it does not hinder their performance on the contrary, they always help each other and most importantly they know how to have fun together. It can be seen from their publication and photos on Facebook of the parties that they organize for themselves and members. This team working hard, having fun, enjoying the life and thus making their customers happy! The leader of the Gymaholic brand says: Happy workers - happy customers!

Safiya: I like this picture. Girl’s looks beautiful and athletic.

Jona: I like it too. It is good that they are doing this kind of pictures to show their mood.

Nazira: Lovely Team. Very positive and happy workers, that’s what I see.

Jona: I would like to visit one of the Gymaholic entertainments because it seems a lot of fun.

Sofiya: I am not a fan of this type of entertainment, so I don’t think it is associated with fitness and healthy lifestyle.

Nazira: Because Mr Murat is very young and creative man his team shares the same ambitions and visions of lifestyle.

 

Nazira: This is Naim he is an awesome spinning coach though he doesn’t speak much in English. When I first came in June, his classes were full.

Jona: I saw him when we visited Gymaholic. He is a very energetic trainer and he feels the rhythm of the music which is very important because Spinning is a very active training.

Sofiya: Probably these girls are students and I see how happy they are. They are posing and smiling while coach taking a selfie, this means that good staff-customer relationship were achieved.

Interview with customer of Gymaholic

We had an interview with one of the customers. For the question “Why do you prefer Gymaholic to other brands?” she said that, first of all it is very close to her house and she likes that there is brand new equipment and it is very big gym. She also prefers this gym because there is a variety of services and training programs so it gives her the opportunity to combine and alternate a few different classes for the affordable price. She gets pleasure and good results from the classes. Another question was about how does she feels in Gymaholic.

 

From the conversation we understood that she feels highly motivated, especially when she sees that so many men and women attends this gym and they achieves good results. She said that though she is shy person she feels free and comfortable in this gym because all of the staff is very friendly and they always ready to help and advice. Lastly, we asked her to list what are the 3 lures of Gymaholic for her. And these are: variety of training programs, attractive interior and equipment and the last one is affordable prices.

To sum up with this interview we should say that this customer has positive attitude relative to Gymaholic. Apparently that she is satisfied with the service provided by this fitness center and usually it is a result of strong relationships.
