On Christmas people celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. In the UK Christmas is on December 25. Children write letters to Santa Claus. People send Christmas cards.
People usually decorate the house with Christmas
trees, tinsle, bells, lights, wreaths [riːθ] and so on. There are a lot of Christmas symbols. They are a Christmas tree, a star, an angel, a candy cane, misteltoe and poinsettia. People cook family dinner, exchange the gifts and sing Christmas carols. A traditional Christmas dinner is roast turkey, mashed potatoes, many vegetables, a fruitcake, mince pie and Christmas pudding. Everybody likes Christmas.

Christmas
Christmas is Christian holiday that celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ. Most Christians celebrate Christmas on December 25. Children write letters to Santa Claus and tell him what presents they would like to get. People send Christmas cards to relatives and friends. People usually decorate their homes with Christmas trees, tinsle, bells, coloured lights, wreaths, boughs of holly and ornaments.
A Christmas tree is one of the main symbols of Christmas in most homes. Presents are placed under the tree. Many children believe that Santa Claus arrives on Christmas Eve in a sleigh pulled by reindeer and brings presents. Children hang(hung) stockings so Santa Claus can fill them with gifts. People walk from house to house and sing Christmas carols. Many people go to church on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning. A traditional Christmas dinner consists of stuffed turkey, mashed potatoes, many vegetables, a fruitcake, mince pie and Christmas pudding.
