A bicycle platoon is mobile combatant subdivision, which was created in August, 2012. It was organized within the patrol service structure and belongs to the regiment of Dnepropetrovsk’ municipal government. It consists of 13 servicemen.
6 bicycles of GIANT were purchased for using during official activity for bicycle subdivision. All employees of the new created platoon are provided with the unique standard of service uniform, which was designed for subdivision specially.
Priority principles of bicycle platoon stuff activity areopenness, democracy, honesty and professionalism, adjusting of business relationships with a population.
The bicycle platoon stuff basic task is prevention of offences and also their prevention and detecting, searching of persons which committed them.
A patrol of bicycle platoon is a detachment which consists of 2 inspectors, one of which is appointed by senior one. It carries out the duties laid on it by riding around the set route and examines its separate areas. Length of route of patrol is 1-3 kilometers. The patrol bicycles of bicycle platoon are used for patrolling on the set routes.
Working hours are 40 hours for a week. Between the shifts the inspectors are given 1 hour for rest and food during route patrolling directly.
Bicycle platoon cooperates with other types of patrols – by foot and by car. If it is necessary patrol helps or exchange information.

It consists of 21 service men
For providing of official activity for mounted subdivision 17 troop horses of pedigree breeds are purchased: Ukrainian up-river, Russian trotting and Orlov’s trotted horse. For mounted subdivision the proper accoutrement and equipment is purchased. The special symbol was designed.
A mounted inspector-policeman is admitted to independent execution of service. He gets such right after passing special tests before the commission. This commission is formed from command authority of regiment and employees of equestrian sport school.
Priority directions and basic tasks of mounted subdivision are determined:
- prevention from crimes in parklands and areas of citizens’ public rest;
- providing of public law enforcement during of public actions.
In the ordinary mode service is carried out by pair equestrian patrols, which are equipped by communication means, special means. Teargas is exception. It has irritating action and this gas negatively influences on horse. These patrols carry out their service without a table fire arms. Such types of arms are forbidden in crowded places.
Patrolling length of area is about three kilometers. Detained people are to Law enforcement organs by cars.
Mounted subdivision is used only in a spring, summer, autumn period (from April, 15 to October, 15), but at the temperature of air not below 0°С and not higher than +35°C for public law enforcement.
Mounted subdivision does not carry out their duties in a winter period. They prepare for service and maintenance of official animals.
