Work in pairs. Dramatize the conversation.



Student A: You are the receptionist. Answer all B’s questions. Be polite and obliging.

 

Student B: You are a hotel guest in Britain. Ask where things are (ask about the location of a bank, a restaurant, a toilet, a telephone and a bar).

Watch the cartoon. Each time the tape is paused, think and write the words the speakers might say next. Then imitate the conversation with your partner.

Watch the video section «In the Hotel shop» and correct those sentences in the script which are wrong.

Clare: I’d like this, please.

Dramatize the conversation within 20 seconds.
